Fanfare 2. Class Book

Fanfare is a four-part activity-based course designed to meet the demands of the new curriculum for English language teaching in primary schools. The aims of the course are to: develop language across the curriculum through topics and tasks that draw on children's skills and social development in other areas of the school curriculum; enable children to begin to communicate in English in everyday situations with the help of a variety of motivating activities; provide children with the first steps towards taking responsiblity for their learning through a make-your-own picture dictionary and simple self-assessment activities; encourage children to work both individually and to co-operate with their class-mates in a variety of games and simple project work; foster respect for foreign languages and cultures through comparison of everyday customs.
