We can proudly say that the event voted as the Best European Major Festival may be the greatest success of Hungary since the political shift of 1989. Not only from traditional Hungarian dishes, but Arab, Greek, Chinese, Thai, Jewish, Italian, French, Balkan, or Indian, wines, beers, spirits and cocktails, everything. Not speaking of the backstage where the biggest artists can try the fantasies of a Michelin-starred chef. Without exaggeration the Sziget is one of the biggest, most open and democratic megaparties, attracting the young and not so young to the river-caressed green heart of Budapest, across a bridge, on an island where a new world awaits them."
